Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi, has reacted to manager Ernesto Valverde dropping him for the second consecutive Champions League fixture.
Messi was named on the bench for their final two group games against Juventus and Sporting Lisbon.
The Argentina admits “sometimes not playing is for the best”.
He also insisted he is happy with Valverde’s rotation policy.
“I have learned that the season is long, that there are times which are harder than others because the years fly by and now my body pays the price for playing in so many matches,” he told TyC Sports.
“I realised that sometimes not playing is for the best.”
