INEC organises Carol to sensitise Nigerians on the need to get registered
The Ondo state branch of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has organized a Christmas carol, to further sensitise the public on the need for eligible voters to participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise.
The carol event was held at INEC office with high profile Nigerians from various disciplines gracing the occasion.
Officials of the commission from the eighteen local councils of the state were in attendance.
Speaking at the carol, the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mutiu Agboke expressed concern that many Nigerians have refused to collect their PVCs which is the ticket for them to choose their future leaders.
He also said the electoral body organized the carol to give INEC staff sense of belonging as well as maintain a cordial relationship with members of the public.The REC said INEC in the state is ready maintain its neutral stance among political parties in the stat.
