NSCDC, arrest five suspected rapists

  • Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Adamawa has arrested five suspects who specialize in luring and raping teenagers in Mubi town of the state.

The suspects identified as Abdullahi Ibrahim (32), Musa Mohammed (31), Bakura Mohammed (39), Joseph John (29), and Mohammed Musa (42) were apprehended following a tip-off.
Confirming the arrest, The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Baba on Monday in Yola, said one of the suspects confessed to the crime, adding that their four victims range between ages 10 and 12.
Baba said medical reports confirmed that the minors had been violated, noting that the victims were girl hawkers.
He cautioned parents against sending their little children to hawk instead of being in school.
He said the suspects will be charged to court with rape, criminal force and assault on minors.
